Mel began her AU career in 2007 as the Events Coordinator, organizing the annual Convocation ceremonies. That led to coordinating a plethora of other events and a secondment to the Community Adjustment Fund as a project manager. Mel completed her EMBA with Athabasca University and went on to collect advising and leadership experiences at other post-secondary institutions in Alberta prior to returning to AU in 2020.
